FHIR Fundamental Courses

Which course is appropriate for me? 

Anyone can apply for one course or multiple courses. All five of these courses are introductory level and can be taken in no particular sequence. Determine which course is appropriate for you by reading about the target “audience” and the topics that will be taught. For example, the FHIR Fundamentals for Australian Developers course highly recommends JSON or XML experience. 

When is the due date?

Please note that due dates for submitting EOIs for the courses is four weeks before the start date of the course

How can participants apply to attend these courses for free? 

To submit your expression of interest (EOI) for any of the courses, please take 10 minutes to submit an EOI at this LINK. For a limited time, the Australian Digital Health Agency and HL7 Australia are delighted to provide access to the courses at no cost to you or your nominated employee if you are selected from the EOI process. When comparing to other FHIR training courses, we estimate that this courses are valued between $900 – $3,000.

Who is sponsoring and coordinating these courses? 

The Australian Digital Health Agency engaged HL7 Australia to develop FHIR training to suit the Australian context. The course syllabus, teaching materials and technology will be delivered in collaboration with CSIRO and the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health at University of Melbourne.
