Community of Practice

A community of practice is a group of people who "share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly"

The Centre for Health Analytics has partnered with the University of Melbourne to launch a community of practice on the Paediatric Academy HiveBrite platform to launch a trial of their technology.

Currently the Centre is reviewing feedback and exploring our direction after the trial. The trial feedback let us understand what works for our data community in a community of practice. We’re making some improvements and will officially launch the community of practice soon. Leave your details below to get involved.

The Centre for Health Analytics envisions this community of practice as bridging working silos between organisations and campuses. We want to hone into the expertise of our community while fostering working relationships and problem solving opportunities, develop data enthusiasts (and newbies) across campus, serve data users with useful resources, and create a more robust data workforce. We plan to do this by creating a platform for these relationships and discussions to flourish.

Who is this for?
  • Data users, experts, newbies
  • Folks interested in connecting with data
  • Working groups who’d like to connect to other folks in the same field
  • Clinical and non-clinical staff, administrators, and executives who would like to understand what’s happening on campus in the data space
  • MCRI, UoM, RCH and affiliates from other organisations

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, contact Elle Cartmill.

Leave your details to be involved in the community of practice.
