RCH Quality and Improvement

The Quality and Improvement department has five main areas of responsibility: Clinical Risk Management; System Improvement / Redesign; Hospital Accreditation Consumer Participation; Consumer Liaison and Primary Care Liaison.

The focus for Quality and Improvement is to identify, assess and understand ‘the problem’ to drive system improvement by applying the principles of improvement science.  The ‘problems’ are identified through clinical risks, consumer feedback, areas for improvement as identified through organisational risk and accreditation processes.
