TikTok is used by:
- 17% of 6-9 year olds
- 39% of 10-13 year olds
- 29% of 14-17 years olds
We’re taking our information to young people on platforms they use and in ways they like to consume content.
University of Melbourne health students with a keen interest in health messaging create and develop videos.
Pediatricians and other academics from the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne and Melbourne Children’s Centre for Health Analytics are guiding and supporting the student team with content advice and review.
A consumer group of adolescents provides feedback and ideas in the development process.
The TikTok channel @unimelb_health was launched on 9 November 2021.
